Skoda Auto reduces discounts on car in India ahead of Diwali festive season

At a time when auto companies offer freebies and heavy discounts on their cars, Skoda Auto have announced reduced discounts ahead of the festive season in India. With the auspicious festivities around the corner, Skoda Auto has announced that they will be cutting all discounts on Fabia hatchback while reducing discounts offered by the company on their Rapid, Laura, Superb and Yeti.

This the company has stated is in line with their policy wherein though prices of their vehicles are higher than that of competitors, they are banking on the fact that their brand is far superior while featuring the latest in European technology which will go a long way to boost sales.

Their withdrawal of discounts on all Skoda Auto vehicles comes at a time when auto companies such as Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors and Hyundai India are all offering a number of attractive offers to draw customers to their showrooms during the auspicious dates in the Hindu calendar during the upcoming Diwali festival.

Skoda Auto sales in India during the first six months of the current fiscal has seen a jump of 24% with sales reaching 17,015 units. During the month of September when sales across the country took a beating, sales of Skoda Auto escalated 38% to 2,312 units. Skoda Auto currently has 106 dealerships in India and will have 95 service outlets by the end of this year.
