The much awaited 2013 Skoda Octavia is all set to be unveiled this week at Prague, Czech Republic. This will just be an unveiling, and a special screening for their home country by Skoda. The new Octavia will make its official launch only next year at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March 2013, while it is expected to reach Indian shores only after August 2013 as new Laura.

Based on the Volkswagen Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) platform also seen in the New Golf and Audi A3, 2013 Skoda Octavia will stand 4,659mm in length, 1814mm in width and will sit on a 2,686 long wheelbase. Skoda expects this vehicle to be at the top of the charts of best selling cars in the world.

Enhanced exterior designs coupled with more luxurious interiors are what are expected from this new model which is stated to look sleeker and sharper than its successors. The 2013 Skoda Octavia is seen with 5 spoke alloys on 17” wheels, bumper design is more angular while boot area looks to have enhanced capacity of approximately 590 liters. Interiors too have been overhauled and fitted with quality material with better equipment.
