SLS AMG GT3 victory at 2013 Dubai 24 Hours

Following last year’s success story, SLA AMG GT3 was victorious at the Dubai 24 Hour race held on January 10-12, 2013. This car, with drivers Khaled Al Qubaisi, Bernd Schneider, Jeroen Bleekemolen and Sean Edwards entered the race from pole position and were successful in the event, finishing a full two laps ahead of other contenders.

Though this was a successful ending, the actual run up to 24 Hours rage was not as significant for AMG Customer Team Abu Dhabi by Black Falcon. Race car No.1 was damaged in an accident on the race track at Dubai Autodrome with repairs not possible on location resulting in the team purchasing a substitute vehicle of Preci-Spark. To get this vehicle track ready for training sessions and qualifying in Thursday, required extensive work of two entire nights in succession.

Jeroen Bleekemolen achieved fastest training time in third lap marking for success at the final events. The gullwing car of Abu Dhabi by Black Falcon remained in the lead but fell back during several code – 60 phases but yet did not give up its top position in the race thus gaining victory at the end coming in first position.
