Smart Forstars SUC (Sports Utility Coupe) to premier at 2012 Paris Motor Show

As 2012 Paris Motor Show opens its doors on 29th of September 2012, Smart Forstars Concept will be there in the foreground to welcome visitors, dignitaries and guests. The car in itself has been more aptly described as Daimler’s sports utility coupe or an SUC. It possesses just enough room to comfortably fit two adults while storage space in its boot is at a premium. A crystal clear glass roof is what lets the sun shine in during the day or lets you drive under a starry sky at night.

Painted Alubeam Rouge, the vehicle is fitted with a 60 kW magneto electric motor from BRABUS electric drive which contributes to its zero emission. The vehicle itself is smart, compact and designed for easy handling. Forstars possesses a top speed of 130 km/h and its lithium ion battery pack has capacity of 17.6 kWh.

Exteriors are seen with LED lamps; U shaped headlamps and has its four wheels position at outer corners of its body to give the vehicle and smarter appearance. Interiors are done up in striking contrasts to the exterior Alubeam Rouge which is also used as an accent color in the interiors. Seats are trimmed in white leather with white piping while doors are lined in perforated leather paneling. One striking feature of the Forstars is the fact that instead of a normal rear view mirror there is a smartphone accommodated in a holder at the top of the windscreen so that the driver has immediate access to the road behind through an integrated video camera.
