SsangYong Rexton arrives in India next week: Korando Sports SUV launched in the UK

Mahindra will be launching the first SsangYong vehicle in India next week. Preparations are in place to welcome the new SsangYong SUV, Rexton in India. Apart from that, in the UK, SsangYong has opened order books for the new SsangYong Korando Sports Pick Up Truck SUV, where prices will be in a range of £18,295 to £21,245. Being offered in a choice of two trim levels, the base SX model will be fitted with 16” alloy wheels, tinted glass, remote locking system, air conditioning and leather wrapped steering wheel.

Infotainment features will include Kenwood MP3 CDs and RDS radio with USB and Bluetooth connectivity. The more expensive EX model possesses leather upholstery will be seen in heated front row seats and driver’s seat, electrically adjustable and power folding mirrors and rear parking sensors.

Both these models will be powered by a Euro 5, 2.0 liter turbo diesel engine offering 153 hp power and 360 Nm torque between 1500 to 2800 rpm. The SX model will be mated to a manual gearbox while EX is mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission both offering fuel efficiency of 37.7 mpg.

Being a versatile family car and pickup, Korando Sports SUV will be found functional as a working vehicle with the existence of its 4 wheel drive and towing capacity of upto 2.3 tonnes while it is also ideal as a family vehicle thanks to its internal luxury features.
