The 2014 Subaru Forester Crossover SUV upholds modernity in design, functions and performance of this model. 2014 Forester is not only seen with a bolder design but is more spacious, offers enhanced fuel economy and augmented performance. Set to be seen in dealer showrooms from Spring of 2013, the vehicle is a comfortable five seater fitted with a 250 hp 2.0 liter direct injection turbocharged Boxer engine. The vehicle’s 2.5i model is fitted with CVT and offers fuel economy of 24 mpg in city limits, 32 mpg on the highway and 27 mpg combined.
It sits on a longer wheelbase increasing vehicle length by 1.4 inches and width by just 0.6 inches but there is notable increases seen both in passenger area and luggage compartment. Rear seating now has leg room of 41.7 inches while cargo area with 60/40 split rear seat backs are at 64.7 cu.ft making it best in its class.
2014 Forester 2.5i model is offered on Premium, Limited and Touring versions with a host of features which include Symmetrical All Wheel Drive and Hill Descent Control. Safety features include anti whiplash front seats and driver’s knee airbags, brake override and impact sensing fuel system cutoff. Keyless Access and Start, EyeSight driver assist system, Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking and Vehicle Lane Departure Warning are also part of the vehicle’s additional safety makeup.
