Debuting at the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show, the Subaru Advanced Tourer Concept vehicle is a new generation sports wagon. This is particularly evident from the vehicle's Lamborghini styled front and rear doors. This hybrid powertrain sees the use of a 1.6 liter turbocharged direct injection four cylinder boxer engine. Mated to an in-house hybrid system, one can expect higher economy than their 2.0 liter 2008 concept.
The Subaru interiors are in wood finish with steel accents and centre console and pedals. Its glass roof is an added attraction to ensure that you are one with nature while adding more dimension to its spacious looking interiors. A monitor mounted on the steering wheel ensures access to maps or internet facilities. While Subaru had announced that they would be bringing out number of hybrid vehicles, the Advanced Tourer Concept is a class apart. The Subaru Advanced Tourer Concept vehicle looks forward to a production model by 2013.
Form-fitting leather seats, carbon fiber on the grille, and wood on the dash and center column add to the Subaru Advanced Tourer Concept vehicle's appeal. Its electric all-wheel drive system favors the front of the car in terms of power obviously because ot's more efficient. However, if road conditions are tough, power shifts to power to the front, which is more efficient, but under more severe road conditions, power is distributed over the 4 wheels.
