Suzuki Gixxer SF price starts from Rs 92,596 (Techspecs and Brochure inside)

Suzuki Motorcycles India brings in a new variant of the Gixxer street motorcycle which they launched last year. Called Gixxer SF, this one has features a full fairing in the front. Suzuki says, they have designed this fairing at their R&D centre in Japan, where it has been tested for high speed stability and wind protection. The wind tunnel facility they used to test the Gixxer SF, is the same they use to test their superbikes like Hayabusa and GSX-R, along with their MotoGP motorcycles.

Speaking about its engine, No mechanical changes will be seen on board the new Gixxer SF as it will continue to sport the same engine as seen on the regular Gixxer. This is in the form of a 155cc four stroke single cylinder air cooled engine. This engine generates 14.8 PS peak power at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5 speed gearbox. Speaking about mileage and top speed of Gixxer SF, Suzuki did not reveal that information at the launch event. We will update that bit shortly as soon as we get in touch with a Suzuki official.

Dimensions of fully faired Gixxer SF also remain same as the regular Gixxer though weight is increased by 4 kgs to 139 kgs which will probably affect acceleration and top speed while mileage too will reduce marginally. Suzuki has left the chassis and suspension set up same. New Gixxer SF gets the same riding position as seat height and handle bar positioning is unchanged.

Offered in three colour options, Blue, Black, and White, the former is a special MotoGP edition. It comes in the same livery as Suzuki MotoGP bikes, commemorating their entry into MotoGP for 2015 season.
