Suzuki Let’s scooter sales expected to reach 1 lakh per annum
With launch of the new Let’s scooter in Kerala this week, Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited (SMIL) is keen to increase market share with added prominence in markets of South India. SMIL also targets schools, colleges, malls and IT hubs where youth in the age groups of 18-22 years are involved, as part of their sales promotion activities.
The recently launched Let’s scooter could see sales of around 1,000 units per month in Kerala itself while on a national level SMIL targets sales of 1 lakh units per annum. The company also plans to increase touch points from a current 600 to 1000, so as to provide excellent after sales service to customers.
SMIL Let’s scooter is produced from the company’s manufacturing unit in Gurgaon which has an annual capacity of 3.40 lakh units. It is priced at INR 46,974 in Kerala, claims fuel efficiency of 63 kmpl and is being offered in a choice of 5 colors. It comes into India to challenge the Honda Activa, which is currently ruling the roost in the 110 cc segment.
