Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited, among the leading two wheeler makers in India and subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corp of Japan, has extensive plans for new launches in India.
Keen to capture a major chunk of the two wheeler segment in India and eager to take on rivals such as Honda and Hero MotoCorp, Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited (SMIL)Â has a number of new product launches in the offing.

In 2013, production was increased by 25% to 5.6 lakh units from 4.5 lakh units pa.
The new Let’s scooter in 110 cc segment will target younger customers and will be especially attractive to college students due to its affordable pricing, attractive looks, enhanced mileage and power. Let’s will be powered by an 110cc, four stroke engine offering peak power of 8.7 hp at 7500 rpm and 9 Nm torque at 5,500 rpm. It will be light due to the fact that it receives not only a steel/aluminum body but also a new automatic CVT gearbox thus making the new Let’s the lightest scooter in India with a total weight of just 98 kgs. It is this lower weight that has contributed to better mileage which the company states is at 63 kmpl. Let’s, once launched will compete with products from Honda, Hero MotoCorp and TVS.
