Japanese auto manufacturer, Suzuki Motors, plans to build a new manufacturing unit in India, a report in Japanese Business Daily, Nikkei reported. The report did not bear the name of its source. The new plant is reported to have an annual capacity of 250,000 units and will be ready to deliver by 2013.
Maruti Suzuki started their journey in India back in 1983. Today they have an annual capacity of manufacturing 10 lakh cars and plans to increase output to 14.5 lakh cars are ready. With this new report from Nikkei, if true, Suzuki can increase their output in the bountry by 17 lakh units by 2013.
