New Swift RS is offered only in one colour scheme, Superior White with crimson red and black touch ups. Front and rear bumpers get integrated body skirts with red chin line, while the side skirts are left in body colour. Just above the side skirt, gradient streaks of black into red sporty decal runs from front wheel arch to rear, giving the side profile of Swift RS a speedy appeal.
Roof-top gets a full-sized black into red gradient decal that extends sideways onto top portion of window frame. Roof lip spoiler is left in white. Door pillars are blackened to compliment the rest of black-red decal job. The 16 inch 12-spoke alloy wheels are given gun-metal finish to elevate the body colour (white) and redirect focus to striking red decors.
Front headlights, fog lamps and rear tail lamps of new Suzuki RS edition are left untouched, but a new pair of LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) have found its place way below the fog lamps, embedded onto outward projecting bumper skirt.
Interiors get new upholstery, which is apparently Rally Sport looking, with black base and red borders along the sides of seats; with ‘Swift’ name in red colour stitched on backrest of both front seats. Red appliqué is not over extended onto gear knob, steering wheel and dashboard trims.
Centre console of Swift RS gets a 2 DIN Kenwood music system with touchscreen display, bluetooth connectivity, mapping and GPS navigation and reverse camera facility.
Rest of features / specifications remain the same as present Swift hatchback; to elaborate, front fog lamps, leather wrapped steering wheel with tilt / telescopic adjustment, automatic climate control, push start ignition, all four disc brakes, ABS with EBD, brake assist and front dual airbags.
Same K14B 1,4 litre petrol engine does duty on new Swift RS, producing 95 PS max. power at 6,000 rpm and 130 Nm peak torque at 4,000 rpm. Jatco-derived 4 speed auto transmission is also carried on.
Suzuki Swift RS edition is limited to 500 units annually for sale in Malaysia. On-raoad price of Swift RS is RM79,388 (Rs. 14.74 lakhs approx.) without insurance.
