Suzuki Swift SZ-L special edition launched in the UK

This model here, was displayed alongside the Suzuki Sport SZ-R variant at the 2013 Autosport International show, which was held earlier in January 2013. The new Swift SZ-L is powered by a 1.2 Liter petrol engine while the Swift Sport SZ-R is powered by a 1.6 liter petrol engine.

The 1.2 liter four cylinder petrol unit of the Swift is capable of producing 83 bhp of power. It has a mileage rating of 56.5 mpg (20 kmpl) and a carbon emission rating of 116 gm/km. Added features of the vehicle include unique 16” alloy wheels, four metallic paint choices, roof spoiler, red accents for the steering wheel and gearshift, rear privacy glass and cruise control technology. Prices for this model are a part of Suzuki’s VAT free promotion period that runs until 31st March.

Swift is presently in its third generation. It was first introduced in Japan, back in 2000. Recently, Suzuki announced that Swift global sales has managed to cross the 3 million mark. 45% of this, have been sold in India by Maruti Suzuki.
