Mumbai: The German automaker took centrestage at Audi 2015 Autumn Collection unveiling in Mumbai with a resplendent fashion presentation that comprised a collection and cars. With luxury cars standing in as a backdrop, the Audi-inspired collection was presented by designer, Varun Bahl.
For most folks in India, mentioning a luxury sedan would be a reference to the German trio: Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi. But that list is in fact a thing of the past, as the triad has over time grown to a quartet of luxury automakers with Jaguar-Land Rover brand (now a Tata Motors owned company) joining the list.
Audi Kozhikode is Audi’s 35th showroom in India, and 2nd in Kerala, after Kochi. ‘The next big Audi’, Audi A3 sedan compact luxury sedan in India too was launched at a price of Rs 23.54 Lakhs (ex-showroom Kozhikode).
Audi A3 compact sedan has been successfully launched in India priced between INR 22.95 lakhs and 32.66 lakhs. Coming in to gain an edge over rivals, the new A3 will cement Audi India in its leadership position in country’s luxury car market even while facing some stiff competition from German compatriot – Mercedes Benz (GLA and CLA).
India’s largest luxury car maker, Audi India launched its new entry level sedan, the Audi A3 in India today at a mouth-watering price tag of just Rs 22.95 lakhs, ex-Delhi. Offered in a choice of petrol and diesel engine variants, the starting price tag is for the 2.0l TDi diesel variant.
Audi A3 sedan will be launched in India in a few hours from now. India’s first entry level compact luxury sedan, slated to be the most affordable Audi in India, is expected to come with a price range of Rs 25-33 lakhs. Bookings are open, and dealers have confirmed that the response has been unlike any other Audi till date.
There is no doubt that Audi and Mercedes Benz are competing for top spot in India. While sales figures of Q1 2014 placed Audi on top, industry is still awaiting Q2 sales figures as neither of them have revealed numbers yet.
Slated to be officially launching in India on August 7, 2014, Audi A3 sedan enters production.
