German luxury car makers BMW have announced that their much awaited 1 Series is on its way into the country. To be assembled locally, 1 Series will compete with Mercedes-Benz A-Class luxury hatchback, and though prices have not yet been revealed, estimates put the 1 Series in a price bracket below Mercedes’ car. The new A 180 CDI luxury compact is available at a price of Rs. 22.05 lakhs after a 4% price increase this month.
