For the first time ever BMW i3 is showcased in India, during the launch of BMW i8 hybrid sports car.

BMW i3 took centrestage at yet another event last weekend. An all-electric, zero emission i3 was donated Brad Pitt’s Make It Right. The charity builds green homes, buildings and communities for people in need. Make It Right has built 100 environmentally friendly homes in the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans designed by top architects.
At the backdrop of New York International Auto Show, BMW i3 was announced as 2014 World Green Car. The car was part of an initial entry list of 14 new cars, shortlisted to 3. the other finalists were Audi A3 Sportback g-tron and Volkswagen XL1. “To have the BMW i3 named World Green Car of the Year is a great honor,” said Dr. Ian Robertson, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, Sales and Marketing BMW. “From the production process onwards, the BMW i3 is a truly sustainable vehicle, created with the needs of the 21st century city in mind.”
