Demand for diesel engines being at an all time high, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has decided to extend their deal with Fiat India, subsidiary of Italian carmakers Fiat SpA, for a further three years. Maruti has been sourcing diesel engines from Fiat since 2011, and the current deal expires in 2015.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited has brought back Beat the Heat campaign for a 2nd edition on 14-15 June, 2014 across 3,050 service workshops in 1,445 cities. Beat the Heat campaign will help Maruti connect with 50,000 customers. MSIL has strengthened customer connect initiatives to reach more people in recent years.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is now the parent company for all of Fiat’s subsidiaries, have unveiled their new sign board at Auburn Hills Head Quarters and announced their five year plan yesterday. Fiat – Chrysler merger was completed in January 21, 2014 and extensive growth plan among subsidiaries (Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Ferrari and Ram) have been on works since then. Yesterday’s all-day event brought the five year plan to light, shows potential to get in the same league as Toyota Motor Corporation, Volkswagen Group and General Motors Company.
Fiat India has opened a new and exclusive 9650 sq ft facility in Faridabad. This new dealership is part of the company’s expansion plans in India after they parted ways with Tata Motors and are aiming to create their own niche in the Indian auto market. Fiat India currently possesses a total of 80 exclusive dealerships in the country and aim to add about 20 more such exclusive showroom to the list before the year is out.
