Ford India now has a special offer on Ford Figo and Ford Classic for armed and paramilitary forces in celebrating the spirit of independence. The special offer salutes those who have served the country (past and present) from armed and paramilitary forces to avail benefits up to Rs 75,000 on select Ford Figo variants, and up to Rs 71,000 on select Ford Classic variants.

Ford’s green initiatives see the automaker recycles used cotton from blue jeans and T-shirts to make hood, dash and floor carpet insulators and interior padding.The move strengthens Ford‚Äôs commitment to build quality vehicles for a sustainable future emphasises on environmentally sound manufacturing at its plants.
Ford is making a contribution for ¬£322,000 for a new University Technical College. This is for students aged 14-19 studying engineering and design. East London University Technical College, ELUTEC foundation was laid at the site today, and is located on the Centre for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence (CEME) campus in Rainham, Essex.
Ford Motors have extensive plans where sourcing engines from India is concerned. A major base for export of Figo and EcoSport, Ford Motors hopes to source new generation small capacity petrol engines called Dragon from its India base. On similar lines, Renault too is working on something similar. Their research unit in Chennai will become source of a new 986cc petrol engine called B4D, for global market.
