India bound Ford Figo hatchback was officially launched in Brazil at a starting price of 35,390 BRL, which as per today’s currency conversion rates, is about Rs 9.5 lakhs. Called Ford Ka in Brazil, the hatchback is launched with only one engine option, which can run on both petrol and ethanol.
Ford Figo was first put on show in Delhi in 2009 and launched in Indian market in March 2010. Manufactured in Ford’s Chennai plant based on Fiesta’s platform, FigoÂ got its own front and rear fascia and made a stunning salesÂ record. Later in October 2012, itÂ received standard facelift treatments like redesigned grille, head and tail lamps, and then launched in South African market in 2013.
