Car manufacturers Ford Motor Company, India have revealed on Tuesday that a small car is in the making. This is a part of the company plan to bring in a total of 8 new models into India by 2015 which will also include a larger SUV, than EcoSport.
The first stage of Ford India’s safe drinking water program will cater to the needs of 1500 children from the ages of 3 to 6 who will be assured of clean and safe drinking water. The plan is to further expand this operation to encompass all children in a total of 70 villages in the area. The project will allow the company to address the issue of access to safe drinking water and tackle the issue of water borne diseases which are adversely affecting children.
It is extremely noteworthy to see various auto companies taking initiatives to hold events and conduct surveys to draw attention to road safety and educate and instill driving safety techniques in the minds of the general public. Nissan is currently holding the second phase of Nissan Safety Driving Forum and Ford has recently conducted a survey to highlight the driver’s safety driving habits or rather the lack of it besides various driver perceptions toward safety and technology.
At the moment, Ford is celebrating their 100th anniversary of the moving assembly line with new goals for advanced, and flexible manufacturing. By 2017, Ford is in line to increase global flexible manufacturing to produce on average 4 different models at each plant.

After showing India the all new EcoSport at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, Ford has come a long way, or a rather pro-longed way. Their fans have waited with a bated breath, expecting a launch announcement pertaining to the EcoSport in India. That moment is finally here, as Ford has officially confirmed that EcoSport will be launched in June 2013.
The all new Ford EcoSport SUV features industry first feature, called Emergency Assist. This feature was put to test in Goa earlier today, when one of the EcoSport with EcoBoost 1.0L engine rolled over and crashed, as you see in the image here.
