Fiesta is key to Ford India‚Äôs vehicle lineup as it gets the attention of driving enthusiasts. 2014 Ford Fiesta sedan is now available at a launch price of Rs 7.69 lakhs for entry-level trim Ambiente diesel, Rs. 8.55 lakh for Trend diesel, and Rs. 9.29 lakh for top end Titanium Diesel. Ford India sales in May 2014 has more than doubled over May 2013 with 12,288 vehicles (combined domestic wholesales and exports) sold as against 5,993 units sold in the corresponding month last year. Ford sales in India stood at 6,053 vehicles in May, up 51% over 4,002 vehicles sold in may 2013.
Ford India has re-opened bookings for all urban SUV Ford EcoSport variants. This includes 1.5L Petrol Ti-VCT Manual Transmission Ambiente, Trend, and Titanium. 1.5L Petrol Ti-VCT Automatic Transmission Titanium, 1.0L EcoBoost Petrol Manual Transmission Titanium and Titanium (O). And from the 1.5L Diesel TDCI Manual Transmission range, Ambiente, Trend, Titanium, and Titanium (O).
Ford India reported 83% sales increase in April 2014 selling 13,297 vehicles (domestic wholesales and exports cumulative) as compared to 7,270 units sold in April 2013. Domestic sales account for 6,651 vehicles in April, up 66% from 4,003 vehicles. Exports stand at 6,646 vehicles, against 3,267 units in April 2013.
Looks like Ford Motor Company is seriously considering EcoSport for the United States of America, as one was spotted there just recently. Given EcoSport’s success since its conception and that it would have less rivals in the USA, Ford can launch EcoSport there and grab a chuck of compact crossover market share.
Ford India sold 11,805 vehicles (domestic wholesales and exports) in March 2014 to report 57% sales growth when compared to 7,499 vehicles sold in March 2013. Domestic sales for the month stand at 6,356 units, up from 5,271 units in March 2013. Ford India exports stood at 5,449 vehicles in March, up from 2,228 units exported in March 2013.
Going further in its endeavor to continuously engage with consumers through social media platforms, Ford India has launched its official Instagram channel.
Car manufacturers Ford Motor Company, India have revealed on Tuesday that a small car is in the making. This is a part of the company plan to bring in a total of 8 new models into India by 2015 which will also include a larger SUV, than EcoSport.
