Nissan Leaf Named 2011 World Car of the Year
Euro NCPA has recognized Nissan Leaf as 2011 World Car of the Year and has bestowed the award of a 5 star rating. This zero emission electric car was showcased at the New York Auto Show last year and won the award as a clean and green car.
This is a difficult task as due to the batteries required for an electric car it is a difficult achievement to be so low on emission.

Nissan launches Leaf in Japan
In an event organized by Nissan Motors in Yokohama, Japan, the manufacturer unveiled their zero emission vehicle, Leaf. Nissan Leaf has gained such popularity that it is sold out till March 2011. Nissan Motors have already received bookings from 20,000 US customers and 6,000 Japanese customers. Leaf will be launched in the European continent next year.
