Rally of Coimbatore 2014 has seen Mahindra XUV500 in the lead as Team Mahindra Adventure was declared winners of the 2nd round of Indian Rally Championships. This win comes after the team got off to a flying start in Rally of Maharashtra held earlier this year.

Mumbai, January 8, 2014: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), a part of the US $ 16.7 billion Mahindra Group today announced that it had sold more than 75,000 units of its cheetah-inspired XUV500 in just over two years since its launch.
Mahindra XUV500 SUV has entered Limca Book of Records for managing to complete the 3,997 kms long journey from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in just 62 hours and 20 minutes. The rare feat was achieved by a team of four people form Standard Chartered Bank.
Mahindra and Mahindra, India’s largest UV manufacturers, are all set to introduce a new base variant of the XUV500. This new variant, W4 will come in minus a few accessories and equipment due to which it will be priced lower than the current XUV500, which is available in two trims currently, W6 and W8 (2WD and AWD).
Launch of three new Mahindra vehicles has been announced in the Ghanian auto industry. These include their all new global SUV, XUV500, Xylo MPV and Genio. These three will be sold in Ghana by¬†Svani Motors, one of the leading automobile dealers in the region. They are also working on setting up a new assembly plant.
We all knew it was coming, and finally the word is out. Mahindra has revealed that they are ready with their new XUV500, with lower ground clearance. This will result in a price cut of Rs 33,000 as Mahindra XUV500 with lower ground clearance falls in the 27% excise duty segment, against 30% earlier.
