Maruti Alto, Hyundai Eon car discounts continue in spite of growth
Just as we enter second half of 2014, carmakers have revised their discount schemes. Compared to months of May and June, most manufacturers have lowered the discount rates, while only few retain similar offer. Topping the list is Chevrolet, followed by Ford, Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai amongst others.
Global NCAP results unfair for Alto, Nano, i10 and Figo unfair: Car companies
Auto makers in India are dissatisfied with survey undertaken and findings revealed by Global NCAP, a UK based charity. Indian car companies feel that they (Global NCAP) did not take the Indian scenario and Indian driving conditions into account while performing the crash tests.

Just a few days back it was revealed that the Government of India was going to start crash test of all made in India cars. But, before that, a UK based charity, Global NCAP, has managed to crash test some of the best selling cars in India. The results are shocking, as all the five cars tested - Maruti Suzuki Alto, Hyundai i10, Tata Nano, Volkswagen Polo and Ford Figo, have all returned with the worst possible score, a Zero.
