As Mercedes-Benz India gets ready to launch the new C-Class, the luxury auto manufacturer bade farewell to the W204 at its Chakan plant where it’s built. Earlier this month at CeBIT’s debut in India, a global business IT and communications event, Mercedes Benz India unveiled the new C Class.
Luxury auto manufacturers in India have often said there’s no number game when it comes to sales, with each wholly emphasising on the best luxury can get. And while overall luxury car sales volumes in India are significantly low, auto manufacturers are slowly but surely working on network expansion.
Mercedes-Benz India is committed to take its luxury automotive experience to customers in emerging markets and inaugurated Smart Hoops Kanpur, its 67th outlet. It’s presence in 37 cities establishes Mercedes-Benz’ densest network in India.
Mercedes-Benz India today inaugurated Indisch Motoren in Nashik, a 3S facility located at A-22, MIDC, Ambad, Nashik. Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India and Om Moharir, Director, Indisch Motoren attended the event.
Mercedes-Benz India is hosting a special preview of the new C-Class luxury sedan at CeBIT India 2014, before the car makes its debut in India on November 25, 2014.
Mercedes-Benz India recently launched it’s GLA Class compact crossover, which is not available in a four wheel drive here. The luxury auto manufacturer will launch GLA 45 AMG 4MATIC on on 27th October 2014.
The scenario is changing on Indian roads ever since international automakers have made a bee lineÂ into the country. While it was Ambassadors and Fiats which ruled Indian roads, followed by hatchbacks from Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors, it is Sports Utility Vehicles and Crossover Utility Vehicles that are more in demand as on date.
At the launch of Mercedes Benz CLA 45 AMG , the company stated that regular CLA variants will come into India in next six months. This was at the end of July, putting CLA’s launch date close to year end, or early 2015.
As the year comes to an end, and Indian auto industry embraces Q4, Mercedes-Benzâ€™s flagship model, S-Class remains sold out for 2014.
Mercedes-Benz India reports 16% YOY sales growth at 7529 units sold through Jan – Sep 2014 when compared to 6461 units sold in Jan-Sep 2013. Mercedes-Benz India also reports its highest September sales ever with 1000+ units retailed.
