Mercedes-Benz has had a successful May 2014 with 134,031 vehicles sold, equating to 10.4% global sales increase. In the Asian market, 23,011 units were delivered in China equating to 30.1% sales increase where the CLA compact coupe is on offer since April end. In South Korea, the star automaker reported 49% sales increase, and in Taiwan sales growth is 21.8%.
Mercedes-Benz India is leaving no stone unturned in its quest for excellence. On World Environment Day 2014, the automaker announced the installation of a Roof Top based Solar Plant based on the ‘Grid Tie System’ or ‘Tied to grid’. The new roof is being used on the office building inside the Chakan plant, Pune.
Mercedes-Benz India today inaugurated Panjab Motors Mohali, the city’s only luxury car dealership. The 3S facility was inaugurated by Mr. Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India and Mr. Raj Naresh Singh, Managing Director, Panjab Motors.
For the FY 2013-14, Mercedes-Benz India has posted strong Q4 sales of 2554 units resulting in 27% sales growth over the over the corresponding period in 2013.
Mercedes-Benz India reported 2014 Q1 sales of 2554 units. This equates to 27% sales growth when compared with 2009 units sold over the corresponding period of 2013 January-March 2013.
Mercedes-Benz India has begun local production of the new S-Class at its manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune. The ‘Year of Excellence’ embodies yet another strong development here that will help cater to increasing S-Class demand, and at present has a waiting period of about 3 months.
