Renault India is all set to make their Duster SUV even more tempting very soon. First launched in July 2012, the Duster is finally going to receive the much awaited 4×4 variant, which will be launched in September, just before the Diwali festive season.
Renault Duster 4×4 gets a festive launch in October 2014. The new Duster 4×4 will be launched in only one variant and will come in with an all wheel drive system similar to that used by Nissan on their SUVs. This model is already on sale in International markets badged as a Dacia.
Known for its off-roading facilities and tough stance, Renault Duster SUV has managed to post a decent performance in the SUV segment since launch. Now, a Renault dealer in India has decided to experiment with the Renault Duster’s exteriors to add to this SUV’s adventurous looks.
Scorpio SUV, the warhorse from Mahindra and Mahindra stables is India’s best selling SUV in the segment, that has held its plum position for 12 years. With the introduction of Renault Duster, and Nissan Terrano, Mahindra Scorpio sales were affected at the start, but it has has managed to emerge back as the winner in the segment.
Renault India announced price increase on 1st July 2014 due to higher input cost resulting from higher cost of components. Renault car prices were increased by 1%.
Renault India “ROUND THE CLOCK” initiative will see its showrooms and service stations remain open for longer than regular hours on 24-25th May 2014. The customer engagement activity is an opportunity for Renault customers to receive assured gifts. 4 years since launch, combined worldwide production of Renault and Dacia branded Duster has reached the 1 million mark. The millionth Duster was made at Renault Curitiba plant, Brazil and will be delivered in the domestic market.
For 2013, Renault India has sold 64368 cars as compared to 35,157 units sold in 2012. A large part of this success in 2012 and 2013 has to be attributed to their Renault Duster SUV.
