It's now been a year that India adapted BSIV standards. The move saw many cars move out of the 13 BSIV compliant cities, and move into smaller cities where strict emission norms are yet to be implemented. The Chevrolet Tavera, a rather popular MPV from GM too saw its fate sealed. Talks with Sonalika pointed to the company acquiring a BSIV-compliant 2.0-liter CRDi engine for Tavera. Reports are rife about GM buying engines from Sonalika to power up Chevrolet Tavera. If this report is true, then Sonalika group have surely struck gold. Sonalika Group has already upgraded their powertrains in order to meet BSIV emission norms for their MUV Rhino. So supplying upgraded engines to GM that pass emission norms won't be a problem for Sonalika. Sonalika is expected to make a formal announcement...
