In a letter to Rush Lane, Tata Motors stated, “With the sad demise of the Tata Motors managing director, Mr. Karl Slym, this is indeed a very difficult phase for all of us who worked with and under his inspiring leadership at Tata Motors. The best tribute we can, as fellow colleagues, pay him is in continuing the good work he began here and fulfilling his vision in making this company a market leader. During the last few weeks, Mr. Slym personally oversaw our build up towards new launches at Auto Expo 2014 and we are going ahead with all we had planned with him.”
