With the rising popularity of MUV's in the Indian consumers, top car manufacturers of the country are all set to launch their respective cars in the popular segment. Maruti Suzuki India has already showcased RIII at the Delhi Auto Expo and will launch it sometime next year. While Tata Motors are ready with their MUV Aria, they too plan to launch it in 2011. Whereas German manufacturer VW's Skoda India will bring the Roomster on the Indian roads by next year.

MUV's come with a price range of Rs 6-12 lakhs, which when compared to the SUV's price tag, is a much better value for money option. Because of this reason, MUV's have a 10% market share in the passenger vehicles sold in the country. MUV's have a mix of both, sedan and SUV. Spacious and luxurious like a sedan and loaded with off roader capability like SUV's. Currently this market is dominated by Mahindra Xylo and Toyota Innova.
