Sales in commercial vehicles registered a growth of 45 while LCV sales showcased an impressive 19% growth as compared to last year. The same can’t be said about M&HCV sales which saw a drop of 19% as compared to sales figures of last July. Passenger vehicle sales were up by 535 this year, Tata Nano sales saw a sharp increase in sales recording a 68% growth, Indica range registered a 51% increase while the Indigo range registered a 40% increase in sales. Sales of other models like Sumo, Safari, Aria and Venture registered a growth of 59%.
These statistics are based on the comparison made between sales in July 2011 and July 2012. Total growth of sales of the Nano and the range Indica are 9% and 12% respectively. Indigo saw a drop in cumulative sales by 14% as compared to last year. Models like Sumo, Safari, Aria and Venture registered an increase of 14% in relation to the cumulative sales. JLR sales continued to see a steep rise in sales this year.
