A senior official of the Jaguar which is currently owned by Indian car manufacturer Tata Motors has revealed that Tata bought Jaguar from Ford after they saw the sketches of 2011 Jaguar XJ. Mr Gary Temple, President, Jaguar North America, said, "What we had coming to market (2011 Jaguar XJ) was what made them (Tata Motors) buy the company (Jaguar – Land Rover)."

Jaguar introduced the XJ for the first time in 1968 and during the time, Sir William Lyons branded the XJ as the greatest Jaguar ever to be manufactured. Designers over the years feared making any drastic changes to the XJ. But finally they have applied changes which we can see in the 2011 Jaguar XJ. The new XJ has even impressed those with interest in modern day art.
