The route which will be covered by these adventurers, is as follows – Delhi – Manali – Jispa – Sarchu – Leh – Nubra – Pangong – Leh – Mulbekh – Srinagar. Spanning over a period of 10 days, the expedition will cover 3,000 Km across 5 states and travel across high mountain passes, beautiful lakes as well as deep gorges. Over 30 Tata Motors vehicles have participated in the event. The registration fees was Rs 30,000 per person inclusive of boarding & lodging, medical back up, service support, insurance, permits and taxes.
Tata Motors Full Throttle has been synonymous with other similar sporting events such as Desert Storm, Raid de Himalaya, Eastern Mountain Safari and Hornbill International Motor Rally. The Himalayan Rally will be followed by other such adventures such as the Konkan experience, Jungle Experience, Thar Experience and Nilgiri Experience.
Presently during the Himalayan Experience 30 Tata Motor’s SUVs are taking part. Among these will be the Tata Aria Crossover, Tata Sumo Grande MK II and other 4×4 Safari and Sumo vehicles. As they pass through various states along their route they will give customers a chance to witness their true capabilities across some of the most treacherous terrains in the country.

Tata Motors Full Throttle Himalayan Experience flags off from New Delhi
Will cover 3000 km across 5 states – New Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir
Tata Motors Full Throttle, the motorsport division of Tata Motors, flagged off its first expedition – Tata Motors Full Throttle Himalayan Experience, from the capital today. The Himalayan Experience will pass through 5 states – New Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, over a period of 10 days and cover a total distance of 3,000 Km. The expedition will culminate in Srinagar on July 1, 2012.
With over 30 Tata Motors utility vehicles participating in the event, the expedition will transverse high mountain passes, beautiful lakes as well as deep gorges, allowing participants to experience varied terrains and weather conditions as they pass through each state. The expedition will also allow Tata Motors customers a platform to experience the true capabilities of their favourite Tata SUV’s, as they explore off-roading in a planned and organised manner.
Tata Motors is associating with Cougar Motorsport as the program partner, for planning and execution of these events. Tata Motors will organize all logistical, medical and service support for these expeditions.
Tata Motors Himalayan Experience is the first among a series of six expeditions planned by Tata Motors Full Throttle, through the year, for owners of Tata Motors utility vehicles. The Himalayan Experience will be followed by The Konkan Experience, The Jungle Experience, The Thar Experience, The Kutch Experience and the Nilgiri Experience.
