Tata Motors Group sales during June 2012 sees 6% increase

The month of June 2012 saw increased sales for Tata Motors Group also consisting of Jaguar Land Rover. Global wholesales stood at 94,055 units in the month of June 2012 alone resulting in an increase of 6% as compared to sales in June 2011. Taking only cumulative sales into account figures stood at 276,524 units – an increase of 7% as compared to the same period in the previous year

Passenger and commercial vehicles too saw increased sales with Commercial Vehicles of Tata, Tata Daewoo and Tata Hispano Carrocera reaching the 47,896 mark solely in the month of June though cumulative sales were flat at 130,932 units.

Passenger vehicles saw an increase of 7% with the company selling 46,159 units in June 2012 while cumulative sales stood at 145,592, an increase of 12% as compared to similar sales in the same period in the previous year.

These results were spectacular primarily due to significant sales of Jaguar Land Rover of which the company sold 28,215 units in June 2012, a whopping 39% higher as compared to sales in June 2011. Jaguar sales stood at 3,829 lower by 5% while sales of Land Rover were up 49% and stood at 24,386 units in the month of June 2012 alone.

The Tata Motors Group global wholesales, including Jaguar Land Rover, were 94,055 nos., in June 2012, higher by 6% over June 2011. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 276,524 higher by 7% compared to the corresponding period in 2011-12.

Global sales of all commercial vehicles – Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range — were 47,896 nos., in June 2012, a growth of 6%. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are flat at 130,932 nos.

Global sales of all passenger vehicles were at 46,159 nos. in June 2012, higher by 7%. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 145,592 nos., higher by 12%.

Global sales of Tata passenger vehicles were at 17,944 nos., for the month, lower by 21% over June 2011. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are at 62,140 nos., lower by 8%.

Global sales of Jaguar Land Rover in June 2012 were at 28,215 vehicles, higher by 39% over June 2011. Jaguar sales for the month were 3,829 nos., lower by 5%, while Land Rover sales were 24,386 nos., higher by 49%. Cumulative sales of Jaguar Land Rover for the fiscal are 83,452 nos., higher by 34%. Cumulative sales of Jaguar are 11,774 nos., higher by 4%, while cumulative sales of Land Rover are 71,678 nos., higher by 41%.
