Tata Motors has launched a new format for passenger car showrooms. Five sales points across India will be upgraded by March 2013 as per this new format which will be opened in the metros. Speaking to the media on this new format Mr Ranjit Yadav stated that the new format will include a video wall, Wi-Fi capable lounges, accessories and lifestyle products and a café and play area.
This new format though initially planned for passenger car showrooms in the metros will soon make their way to Tier II and Tier III cities. Upgradation of the Tata Motors’ showroom in Central Mumbai spans 4,400 sq ft with a 100 sq ft frontage. The showroom boasts of video walls where customers can configure their own cars through the use of a tablet PC while a large display area will house a range of accessories and lifestyle merchandise.
State of the art customer lounge area, café and Wi-Fi connectivity at the showroom enhances buying experiences for customers. Yadav did not reveal investments that would go into the upgradation but stated that significant investments have been made in the Tata Motors’ showroom in Central Mumbai.
