Tata Motors sales fall 36% in Feb ’14, global wholesales fall by 19%
Tata Motors domestic sales and exports have sharply declined while net profits fell from INR 1242 crores in FY 12 to INR 301.81 crores in FY 13. Last years result when compared Rs.1,812 crores in FY 10-11 too was a decline. February saw total sales decline 35.56% when the automaker sold 39,951 units in February 2014 as against 61,998 units in February 2013.
Domestic sales of both passenger and commercial vehicles saw a sharp decline from 58,002 units sold in February 2013 to 35,315 units sold in February 2014. Passenger vehicle sales brought in some respite with a 6.7% increase to 11,325 units sold in February 2014 as against 3,996 units sold in February 2013.
Global wholesales of all Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range accounted for 29,221 units, while cumulative commercial vehicles wholesales for the fiscal are 395,373nos.
Global wholesales of all passenger vehicles in February 2014 were 50,775 nos, and cumulative passenger vehicles wholesales for the fiscal are 5,18,735 units.
Global wholesales of Tata Motors’ passenger vehicles in February 2014 were 11,764 nos. Cumulative wholesales for the fiscal were 132,185nos.
Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover for the month were 39,011 vehicles. Jaguar wholesales for the month were 6,634 vehicles and cumulative wholesales were 71,128vehicles,while Land Rover wholesales for the month were 32,377 vehicles and cumulative wholesales were 315,422 vehicles. Cumulative wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover for the fiscal were 386,550 vehicles.
