Expected to be launched later this year or early 2015. New Tata Nano Twist Active will receive a new set of headlights, bumper design and bonnet while at the rear end it will get new rear bumper and tail lights in a new design. This variant was on display at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo.
Interiors too have been spruced up with added features to include Electric Power Assisted Steering, a new instrument panel and upholstery in beige and black color combination. The Nano Twist Active will continue with the same engine offering peak power of 67 ps.
Tata Nano Twist Active AMT will be a top end variant with a price in the INR 3 lakhs bracket which is about INR 40,000-50,000 more than the price of power steering equipped Nano Twist. However, it will also be the least priced AMT equipped car sold in India with competition in the entry level hatchback space coming from Datsun Redi-GO, Renault A-Entry, Maruti Alto K10 and WagonR all slated to receive AMT options.
Apart from the Nano AMT, Tata is also working on more variants of Nano, one is with a boot while the other is with an improved 1.0l petrol engine. The latter was caught testing earlier, spy shots of which can be found here.
