Tata Nano CNG emax, Indigo eCS, Sumo Gold, and Indica launch part of Tata Motors Horizonext
Tata Motors seems to have pulled out all the stops today announcing 8 new launches during a plant visit. All cars are model year vehicles, and an altogether new car has not yet shown it’s face though exciting CNG variants have been unveiled.
Today’s presentation included Indigo eCS, Tata Sumo Gold, Nano, Indica, Indica CNG, Indigo CNG, Tata Nano CNG, and Tata Safari Storme Explorer Edition. Tata Nano emax cng comes with a promise of being the Worlds lowest carbon emitting car at 75 gms per km. The small car is fitted with a 5 kg cng tank placed indigenously underneath the front seats. Leg room or interior space isn’t compromised, and vehicle has an Arai certified mileage of 36 kmpl when on cng.
With Tata Motors sales down in May 2013 to 81783 units, poor performance in the Indian auto market, and meagre global sales warrnted the need for newer cars from the Indian automaker. Global sales of Tata Motors including that of Jaguar and Land Rover stood at 81,783 units during the month. Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover rose 3.71% to 31,210 units in May 2013 while Jaguar wholesales jumped 62.62% to 7.061 units in the same month. Land Rover whole sales fell 6.22% to 24,149 units in May 2013 as compared to sales experienced in May 2012.
Global wholesales of passenger vehicles dipped 15.51% to 43,142 units in May 2013 while global wholesales of commercial vehicles in the Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range dipped by 14.18% to 38,614 units during the past month. Tata Motors is a market leader in commercial vehicles in the country. It is also among the major manufacturers where passenger vehicles are concerned and ranks fourth in the world as truck and bus manufacturers. The company vehicles are exported to a host of countries across the globe including Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, South East Asia, South America, and Russia.
