Tata Nano facelift set to launch mid 2013
The launch of much improved variant of world’s cheapest car, 2013 Tata Nano is still some months away. Sales of the current Nano are on a downslide and hence the facelift will be seen as a ray of sunshine.
Besides these apparent changes viewed in the spy shots here, it is not clear if the company has added any fresh updates to the mechanics. Once Nano facelift is released two new variants – Nano CNG, 800cc Petrol and a diesel powered version are also in the offing all set for end of 2013 and early 2014. Images here are credit to ICB.
Tata Motors is trying hard to revive sales of Nano small car. Nano sales for the month of January 2013 dipped to just 1,504 units as against 7,723 units in January 2012, while for February 2013, Nano sales stood at 1505 units as compared to 9217 units sold in Feb 2012. Nano car is loved by people, as you can see the convertible variant of Rakesh Patel, but the number of Nano’s getting collected at Tata’s plant in Sanand, is sight that worries Nano lovers.
