On June 8-10 2010, during the “Better Innovation on Tour,” Tata Technologies introduced the Tata Nano for the first time in Canada at the APMA-Auto21 Annual Conference in Windsor, Ontario. The conference was at Caesars Windsor with more than 800 members of Canada’s automotive component supply industry and research community present.
Hushedar Mehta; the Vice President of Tata Technologies – Global Services provided a glimpse of upcoming automotive innovation and emerging technologies with talks about the company’s frugal and sustainability engineering capabilities, using the Tata Nano as an example of those capabilities put to work .
After the presentation, the Nano remained on display while Tata Technologies representatives from the company’s Windsor, Ontario headquarters facility stayed behind to answer questions about the company and the car throughout the event.
The Nano featured in the tour is on loan from Tata Technologies’ Center for Advanced Engineering and Design in Pune, India. It is the first of its model to be shown in North America beginning January 2010 at the Tata Technologies’ event at the Detroit Science Center.
