Tata Nano for women cops to save women and children in distress
The Tata Nano you see in the image here, is on display in colors of red and blue at the four day India International Security Expo at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This version of Nano is specially developed for women cops to save women and children in distress.
Sporting Delhi Police logo, the small and compact vehicle will serve as a more efficient vehicle instead of the larger ones which are currently being used by Delhi Police. Due to its compact size, the Nano can be maneuvered through heavy traffic and get accident, injured or distress victims to a safer place in a more efficient time frame. The Tata Nano is specially customized to suite these particular contingencies and comes fitted with medical equipment and first aid kit. It also sports a red and blue police beacon, a blaring siren and search lights.
Monty Singh from Grand, told PTI, “We have just launched a concept of using the small car for emergency response instead of the big PCR vehicles being used at present by Delhi Police. We would want the police and other agencies tasked for exigency duties to have a look and see if this fits their bill.”
