Tata Nano India road trip: The little car that takes on every adventure
This time round the humble Tata Nano which is labeled as the cheapest car in the country will once again prove its spirit as it…
This auto enthusiast named Mr Chacko began his journey from Mumbai on May 3rd and will be traversing across 28 states into Bhutan. Chacko has so far covered 5,400 kms and has reached Guwahati after taking the Nano through the streets of Indore, Bhopal, Khajuraho, Allahabad, Varanasi, Patna, Ranchi, Murshidabad, Malda, Jalpaiguri, Gangtok and Darjeeling. Chacko entered Bhutan and drove to the Assam border before going onto Shillong. He is now on his way back to Guwahati.
This is not a joy ride but a plan to travel across the country, learn about its people and cultures. The trip is sponsored by Tata Motors. The company provided the car which had earlier clocked only 3000 kms. The car has not been modified in the least to undertake this arduous journey but a new stereo set has been provided to keep Mr. Chacko entertained during the long hours on the road. You can read more about Mr. Chacko and his journeys through India in a Tata Nano in his book Mano on Nano – India to its Farthest Corners.
