Tata Nano Twist XE launch price Rs 2.18 lakhs, India’s most affordable car with power steering

Back in January 2014, Tata Motors launched their first ever power steering equipped variant of Nano – called the XT or Xtreme Edition. About a year later, Tata Motors has added an entry level variant to the Nano Twist, called XE.

Tata Nano Twist XE is priced at Rs 2.06 lakhs, ex-showroom, New Delhi or Rs 2.18 lakhs, ex-showroom, Mumbai. This makes Nano XE India’s most affordable car with power steering. Available across India, Tata Nano XE comes with the same engine and transmission as seen on board other Nano variants. It is powered by the same 624 cc two cylinder petrol engine, which is mated to a 4 speed manual transmission, delivering power to the rear wheels. The engine generates 38 PS power and 51 Nm torque. It has a top speed of 105 kmph and delivers a claimed mileage of 25.35 kmpl.

Compared to the Nano XT variant, the new XE variant is cheaper by up to Rs 40,000. Features missing aboard the Nano XE are no heating from air conditioning, no music system, no power windows, no central locking, no music system and no rear parcel shelf. Apart from this, Nano XE also misses out on body coloured bumpers, and body coloured ORVMs. Rest all is same.

If you planning to buy a Nano, Tata Motors is offering a range of discounts on benefits. On their official site, they have mentioned that benefits on Nano Twist are up to Rs 41,000. This includes cash discounts and exchange bonuses. You are requested to check with your local dealer for best possible deal.
