2014 Tata Nano Twist XT (Xtreme Edition) versions use a new Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS). This is a power steering system with brushless motor and Eclectronic Control Unit (ECU) to help drive at ease on any road condition. The brushless motor improves robustness of Twist’s EPAS system’s internal components.
A low turning radius of 4 metres helps it cause and ‘Active Return’ returns the steering wheel back to position when released based on a calibrated return torque through the system. Self centering boosts driver confidence and experience while enhancing high speed stability. With power from a 624cc multi-point fuel injected, water cooled, naturally aspirated 2 cylinder gasoline engine with 2 valves/cylinder, it’s mated to a 4-speed manual transmission (MT).
Max power is pegged at 38PS and torque at 51 NM. The petrol hatchback offers fuel efficiency of 25,4 kmpl as per ARAI. 2014 Tata Nano Twist XT (Xtreme Edition) houses a new look instrument cluster with trip computer and driver info systems. There’s also a day time and night time amber display and digital clock. Distance to Empty (DTE) average fuel efficiency readouts are seen. LED fuel gauge and coolant temp gauge, remote keyless entry, twin glove boxes, 4 speaker AmphiStream music system with Bluetooth, USB and auxiliary connectivity are included.
A new gearshift console betters power assist driver and passenger window switches accessibility. Seat, door pad upholstery, beige interior fabrics, rear parcel shelf (boot space storage) with speakers are new in Tata Nano Twist XT.
