Both Safari and Aria were powered by 2.2L VariCOR engine which generated 140 PS power and 320 Nm torque. But then, Tata Motors recently introduced facelift Aria which had the same engine, but retuned to deliver 150 PS power and 320 Nm torque, along with a better fuel efficiency. The older engine is now discontinued in the Aria.
Well, this engine, which offers more power and efficiency, is bound to make its way into the Safari Storme, and judging from these spyshots, it will happen sooner than expected.
Launched back in 2012, Safari Storme cannot be stated outdated yet. It’s still a new car. But, like in the case of new Aria, Tata might offer a little modifications to the Safari Storme 150 PS variant. In Aria 150 PS variant, Tata offered HARMAN sound system, new decals, black bezel headlamps, clear lens tail lamps, cruise control, a smarter 4×4 system, new navigations system, rain sensing wipers, dual AC with climate control, and auto headlights. Expect most of these to feature in the new Safari Storme.
