Tata Zest houses all-new 1.2 litre petrol Revotron engine with 3 driving modes for better efficiency in intended driving style. Sport, Eco and City driving modes will optimise engine behaviour to favour respective driving conditions.
Tata Bolt also features 1.2 Revotron engine with same driving modes. It will produce 85 PS max. power @ 5,000 rpm and 140 Nm peak torque @ 1,750 – 3,000 rpm. 1.3 litre Multijet diesel mill from Fiat will also be on offer in Tata Zest and Bolt. It makes 90 PS max. power @ 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm peak torque @ 1,750 rpm.
Zest diesel will get Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) while petrol variant will get manual gearbox only. Transmission options in Bolt is still unclear; AMT on petrol variant could be favourable.
