Teach For All partnership with DHL expands, Bangladesh and Malaysia join in

The development takes total number of country partnerships between DPDHL and Teach For All partners to 10, and four in Asia Pacific.

Christof Ehrhart, Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications and Responsibility, Deutsche Post DHL Group says an educational system that helps all citizens, whatever their background, get jobs and prosper. DPDHL has in the last 5 years supported Teach For All, alongwith network partners in 10 countries: Argentina, Bangladesh, Chile, Germany, India, Peru, Philippines, Ecuador, Spain and Malaysia.

In Asia Pacific, a partnership in Bangladesh and Malaysia has gotten underway to facilitate resources and support to reach out to many more through education and training.

DPDHL supports Teach For Bangladesh and Teach For Malaysia’s goals to promote educational opportunity and employability. In addition to providing financial support, DHL employees in Bangladesh and Malaysia will volunteer to support teachers.

Maimuna Ahmad, Founder and CEO of Teach For Bangladesh says the organisation is working to address a fundamental challenge in the country today, inequity in education. Leadership of Fellows and alumni, and support from public and private sector partners will encourage systemic changes necessary to ensure quality education for all children. Teach For Bangladesh was founded in 2012 . DHL employees in Bangladesh will volunteer to support 35 Teach For Bangladesh teachers (Fellows) to impact nearly 4,000 students across 12 primary schools in Dhaka.

Teach For Malaysia has been working to end education inequity since 2010. Earlier this year, DHL shipped over 50 boxes of personal belongings to help Fellows relocate to East Malaysia and begin work at the earliest to contributed to Teach For Malaysia’s aim to impact over 5000 students in Sarawak.

Dzameer Dzulkifli, Co-founder and Managing Director of Teach For Malaysia is excited about DPDHL and Teach For All having extended their global partnership to Malaysia to help foster excellent education.
