Tesla Motors retail store opens in Toronto, Canada

Tesla Motors have opened their first retail store in Toronto, Canada. Situated at the Yorkdale Shopping Centre, the Tesla retail store will display various interactive devices and design studios wherefrom customers will be able to design their own Tesla Model S and once done will be able to view their handiworks on an 85 inch video situated at back of the store.

The idea behind this approach is to keep customers informed of various options available and advanced technologies being offered on the Tesla Model S. Customers are also encouraged to ask questions to specialists standing by which will enable them to learn more about the products being offered and facilities and technologies available on this new fully electric sedan. Tesla Motors’ Toronto facility is one of 10 such locations that the company has opened while this will be increased to 24 locations across the US and 34 worldwide by the end of this year.

Motor Trend recently named Tesla Model S as the 2013 Car of the Year. This all electric luxury sedan is also recipient of many other awards and is capable of a 300 mile driving range when equipped with an 85 kWh lithium ion battery. Tesla Model S has ability to get from Los Angeles to Las Vegas on a single charge and has acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds or 5.6 seconds depending on trim level. The vehicle also sports a host of infotainment and safety features exceeding all federal crash test standards with 8 standard air bags.
