The Great Indian World Trip across 70,000 kms by Adventures Overland
Adventures Overland, a self drive expedition company based in India noted for its expeditions both within the country and abroad was founded by friends, Tushar Aggarwal and Sanjay Madan both of whom have a passion for driving and adventure.
Having undertaken a variety of road trips, the duo set a Limca Book of Records by driving 12,000 kms from London to Delhi across 15 countries in a total of 51 days. ASEAN Indian Car Rally 2012 saw the company organize a 9 nation car rally over a distance of 8,000kms from India to Singapore through Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar. The second Limca Book of Records mission entails a Tata Nano driven to Khardung La, the highest motorable road, which is at a height of 18,380 feet.
Adventures Overland is now undertaking the Great Indian World Trip to reach out to NRIs across the globe. Tushar and Sanjay will undertake the journey across 70,000 kms through a total of 50 countries and 6 continents. The Trans Himalayan Challenge, another Limca Book of Record revolves around a 9 day 6 hour 15 min non-stop drive through the Himalayan range of India,Nepal and Bhutan over a distance of 5,500 kms. In the West East Challenge, 3,700 kms were covered from Koteshwar, Gujarat to Tezu, Arunachal Pradesh in 73 hours and 55 minutes. The previous record stood at 83 hours 10 minutes
In the Mana Pass Challenge, they were the 1st civilian team to drive to Mana Pass at Indo China border, which is the new highest motorable road at an altitude of 18,399 feet. Their Delhi â€“ Mt Kailash 2012 journey saw them drive from India to Mount Kailash and Mansarovar Lake in Tibet.
