With over 91 race victories, 68 pole positions and 7 world titles to his name, is it a wonder that Michael Schumacher is the best in the racing world? Michael Schumacher was, is and will always be considered among the best in the world of Formula One (F1) even though his 2nd innings in the motorsport arena with Mercedes AMG Petronas have not been so eventful for the 43 year old racer.
Speaking to the media, Schumacher said that he is not what he was at the age of 30 but he can still be called the world’s number 1 racer. He is among six world champions in the grid for the 2012 Formula One season. However judging by the statistics, things have not been as per expectations for Schumacher since he made is return in 2010.
Out of 38 races, Schumacher has been out qualified by Nico Rosberg 32 times and finished 83 points behind his teammate. Mercedes have not provided him with a winning car and with Schumacher entering the last season of his three year contract with Mercedes AMG Petronas, it is expected that he turns the tables in this current Formula One season. The Australian Grand prix this weekend marks the beginning of the 2012 F1 season.
